Das xBoot unfolds on a 6 reel panel, starting in a 2-3-4-4-3-2 formation with 576 winning ways. However, the reels can expand variably, generating up to 75,712 ways to win on individual spins.
Wins land when 3 or more identical symbols land on adjacent reels, beginning from the leftmost position. The payout is made depending on the number of winning ways, the bet size, and the symbols involved in a win. Symbol and Payouts

A new Periscope Wild may also land on this reel. When matching symbols land on the 1st and 2nd reel with the 3rd reel having periscope wild, the win multiplier increases by +1. Interestingly, an animation takes place here where a torpedo launch sequence aimed at a target ship is played. If the ship sinks, the periscope wild covers reel 3. As the wild nudges down each position to be fully visible, the multiplier increases by +1 and adds to the sticky win multiplier.
If the target is missed, the periscope wild remains and doesn’t nudge. Moreover, each scatter symbol in view awards +2 additional free spins during the feature.
Wolf Pack Free Spins
Hitting 4 scatter symbols in the same spin triggers the Wolf Pack feature with 8 free spins. The feature starts with a Torpedo Tube appearing beneath reels 2-5. Torpedo Wild becomes eligible to land on these positions, substituting for all symbols except scatter symbols. On reels 2-5, the Torpedo Wilds drop an xWays symbol in the torpedo area, which becomes active once the entire torpedo gets filled.
The xWays start at x2 and progressively increase with each new torpedo wild landing, up to a maximum of x9. Once the torpedo gets filled, it launches to reveal xWays symbols, which appear on reels 2 and 5, and convert them into regular symbols. On reels 3 and 4, these xWays symbols convert into wild symbols, split into the number of xWays initially collected from the torpedo parts. After a torpedo launch, the sticky win multiplier comes into play, increasing the multiplier by +1. Like the other feature, landing a scatter symbol also awards +2 additional spins.

Das xBoot offers a lot in terms of mechanics and imagery and once again proves that nothing is beyond Nolimit City’s imagination. We simply loved the blend of the mechanics with the theme and how everything plays out in the game. The features are decent enough, although they might be a bit too complicated for someone new to the game. But then again, it seems Nolimit loves to put one or two challenges to the players.
Where we felt the slot to be somewhat disappointing was with its volatility. There were sessions when nothing came whatsoever. So, this is certainly not the game for the ones who play with a moderate approach. On the other hand, those willing to take that extra step in this naval war might come out with something significant.
