Symbols and Payouts
All the 10 pay symbols in the slot are thematic, with the high-paying ones represented by outraged characters. Keep an eye out on muscular Joe, for he offers the highest payout, i.e., 5x the bet amount.
Road Rage also has an arsenal of special symbols like scatters, mystery symbols, and wild symbols designated as cars. But more about them in the features section.
Bonus Features
Like any Nolimit City slot, we come across several exciting and unique features in Road Rage that blend well with the theme and carry the potential to churn out lucrative wins.
Wild Cars
Cars are wild symbols and come in different colors, with each car color having its unique property:
-
Yellow Car: Enlarges the symbols’ size on the reels by +1.
-
Red Car: Moves horizontally and increments the multiplier count of the symbols it traverses by +1. Marks its starting and final positions with a wild symbol.
-
Green Car: Progresses horizontally, and boots the multipliers of any pay symbols it crosses by +1. Introduces wild symbols at both the start and end of the car’s journey.
The unique Colliding Car event occurs when Red and Green cars converge on the same row with an odd number of symbols in between. Upon collision, the multipliers of the Red and Green cars merged, and the resulting value is showcased on the Colliding Car. If the Red/Green car is a sticky symbol in any bonus game, the Colliding Car becomes sticky as well.
Scatter Symbols:
The Traffic Light serves as a scatter symbol, and is eligible to land on all reels during the main game. Landing two scatters simultaneously triggers a respin with a confirmed wild car icon on each of the scatter reels. Meanwhile, three or more scatter symbols activate distinct features:
-
3 scatter symbols initiate the Morning Rush feature, which is played on 3 rows
-
4 scatter symbols set off the H1ghway Jam feature, which is played out on 4 rows
-
5 scatter symbols activate the City Mayh3m feature, which is played on 5 rows.
Bonus Modes:
Prior to the commencement of the bonus feature, the Road Buff feature is activated, potentially providing extra spins and a relevant multiplier for the wild cars. If one or two scatters land in the Morning Rush feature, the level upgrades to H1ghway Jam. In a similar manner, a scatter symbol landing in the H1ghway Jam feature transitions the feature to City Mayh3m. In all the three options, up to 3 wild cars get selected and convert into sticky wild symbols at their stop positions.
Mystery Symbols:
Exclusive to the bonus features, Mystery Symbols emerge in yellow, red, or green colors. Matching the color of a wild car symbol, the Mystery symbol increments the wild’s multiplier by +1. However, if the color of the Mystery symbol does not align with any symbol color on the screen, an additional spin is granted.
Nolimit City Bonus:
The buy bonus option offers the opportunity to trigger the bonus features by paying the corresponding amount:
-
Morning Rush at 66x the stake
-
H1ghway Jam at 270x the stake
-
City Mayh3m at 660x the stake
Any one of the three bonus modes is randomly selected at 334x the stake.
Payout Statistics
The best bit about getting over the Road Rage is its max win potential of 36,000x the stake, which is pretty incredible when compared to the prizes offered by other game providers. However, before you keep too high hopes from the game, it should be made clear that, on average, it takes about 80 million spins to trigger the maximum prize. Irrespective of that, there's no reason why you shouldn't win something significant in the game. The volatility keeps frequent winnings at bay, but there are instances where the slot does shake up its potential. In one of our test runs, we managed to hit 1,575x the stake without using the buy bonus.
Road Rage RTP of 96.03% is also pretty decent, standing significantly above the industry average of 96%. Moreover, the slot's hit frequency is 23.43%, which basically means the expected winning frequency is once within every 4-5 spins. Also, the possibility of triggering the free spins bonus game is 1 out of 221 spins, decent enough for a high volatility game.
